Press Release:
German Luxury Tuner DMC just released their latest take on the Maserati GT , calling it SOVRANO 2011.
The stylish and sporty conversion of the Maserati GranTurismo shows the year-long experience and craftsmanship that DMC has acquired on its way to becoming a top luxury refiner. Every detail of the car is a synonym for the team‘s outstanding passion for their work.
On the front fascia, the newly designed front bumper gives the GT an all new aggressive presentation, thanks to a new spoiler lip that also serves an aerodynamic use to increase downforce on the front axle. Additional air inlets and outlets enable the new light-construction bonnet to optimally regulate the temperature in the V8 engine compartment.
The dynamic appearance continues with the Wide Body side skirts, outstanding due to their Zig-Zag end-panels.
The trunk spoiler at the back and a whole new rear diffuser complete the sporty look. All add-on parts are made from carbon fibre and are manufactured by DMC using autoclave prepreg vacuum processing.
Further improving the optical appearance, DMC made use of progressive sport suspensions in the front and rear axles, which lower the vehicle’s centre of gravity by around 30 millimetres. Contact to the ground is maintained by 255/30 R 20 front tyres and 305/30 R 21 wheels at the back.
DMC has recently started investing into forged rims and brings the popolar concave design to the Maserati GranTurismo models. On request of the customer, these wheels are sprayed in the colour of the vehicle and decorated with black accents.
Thanks to DMC new motor-engineering partner in Switzerland, the engine work is not simply done by ECU improvement, but by physically enlarging the engine. Under the hood, the 4.7-litre V8 is now more potent thanks to a supercharger that is driven by a cogged-tooth belt. Thanks to this upgrade the DMC Maserati is able to produce an additional 150 HP (110 kW) and 82 Nm, which means it can unleash a total of 590 HP (434 kW) @ 7300 rpm and 472 Nm of torque @ 5400 rpm.
On the interior, DMC only uses the finest materials which have been processed in traditional top-quality craftsmanship. It adds individual character and improves the strong connection between the driver and his car. The leather used by DMC for the interior is hard-wearing yet exceptionally soft. The chequered stitch in the ornamental seams on the inside makes for elegance as well as sportiness. Wherever you look: expert handcraft, individual design and top quality. The aluminium pedals and new ergonomically designed sporty steering wheel are additional visual highlights.
